Silverhide-DVD

‘The ultimate predator!’

SilverHide aka Pounce is a 2012 British horror film written and directed by Keith R. Robinson (Sniper Corpse). The Other Dimension Films production stars Lucy Clarvis, Kelly Wines, John Hoye, Jordan Murphy, Phil Stone, Sean Hayes and Matt Brewer.

Plot:

A group of conspiracy theorists are secretly watching a top-secret military base in the desolate Welsh mountains. They are looking for experimental and highly classified test aircraft to report about in a magazine when they suddenly discover a top-secret and highly lethal creature (discovered in the 1920s) which the military and Government are testing. The creature’s fur can turn invisible in the moonlight.

Silverhide-1
The conspiracy theorists are hunted by both the creature – which the army has nicknamed “The SilverHide” – and the military who will stop at nothing to keep their classified specimen a secret…

Reviews:

“It’s just dreadful. The only two things it has going for it are a surprisingly good wolf-head prop and tight, fast editing of the attack scenes. Which unfortunately cancel each other out […] SilverHide is just so poor.” Cult films and the people who make them

“The film consisted mostly of people talking on walkie-talkie interrupted by an occasional attack of which we see very little. Low budget. Bad soundtrack. Boring script. 71 very long minutes.” No God, No Masters

” …the escalating horror that surrounded the surviving few was greeted with an expression of fear more akin to forgetting to get milk, and having to go back out in the pouring rain. Still, credit must go to the crew for the creature design and the practical effects. If only everything that surrounded it was as well crafted.” The Schlock Pit

Choice dialogue:

Soldier: “What’s happening!? Can anyone confirm?”
