Reviews:

Night of the Sharks has a rather misleading title, as the film is not especially concerned with either nighttime or sharks.  In fact, most of the movie– including the action sequences and shark attacks– takes place during the day, and while we see a few dead sharks throughout, there is only one killer shark to speak of.” The Creature Feature Bleachers

” …an otherwise harmless, largely unmemorable film […] I haven’t even mentioned the hilariously telegraphed twist ending paints Night of the Sharks as some unsung gonzo shark movie that needs to be recovered and reappraised, but I wouldn’t go that far. It’s dully photographed, and its score often resembles something you might have heard in an 80s arcade game…” Oh, the Horror!

“The movie does not know if it wants to be comedy with Hill & Spencer style bar fights, hard-boiled action film, or shark horror movie. After an acceptable start the movie goes downhill fast with bad direction and lazy script-writing. The movie has also some crazy plot twists with its own insane logic.” Shameless Pile of Stuff

” …despite a fair amount of good points, Night of the Sharks (there’s only one shark, by the way) just never works itself up into a frenzy. At one point, the movie forgets all about the shark as it turns into your typical jungle actioner […] It goes without saying that the scenes of blackmail, political intrigue, and Treat tangling with assassins is far less entertaining than the scenes of the shark eating people.” The Video Vacuum
