Armando Trovajoli composed over three hundred film scores from the early 1950s up until as recently as 2010. Amongst his most famous works are Marriage, Italian Style (one of several Sophia Loren films he worked on), Fernando Di Leo’s La Mala Ordina (Manhunt In Milan) and 1976’s classic funky, seething crime theme Una Magnum Special per Tony Saitta (Blazing Magnum).

Horror related films touched with Trovajoli’s genius include Mario Bava’s Hercules in the Haunted World (starring Reg Park and Christopher Lee), Alain Jessua’s Frankenstein 90 (1984), Christopher Lee’s odd turn in Italian horror comedy Uncle was a Vampire (1959), Atom Age Vampire (1961) and Lycanthropus (aka Werewolf In A Girls’ Dormitory (1961).

A wider audience became aware of Trovajoli through the use of his theme ‘Beach Parade’ in the HBO comedy, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
