Reviews:

“Suitable enough for a night of traditional slasher entertainment, The Redwood Massacre is one of those disposable movies where some short time after the fact, you’ll be unable to recall if you actually saw it or not.” Culture Crypt

“The “trip in the woods turns bad” plot seems like a standard slasher storyline, but it felt even thinner than that. It’s very short storytelling, and then several really long drawn out kill/chase scenes for almost the entire movie. The acting wasn’t horrible, it’s simply…. present. Nothing more, nothing less.” Modern Horrors

“Completists will get a kick out of exploring The Redwood Massacre, but for the rest of us, this film needs to turn over a new leaf.” The Movie Waffler

“Lisa Cameron stands out as Pamela, in what is generally a really competent cast aside from an occasional shaky performance and a bewildering set of eyebrows. If you overlook the fact the characters have as much depth as the shallow end of a swimming pool, and just rejoice in the hedonistic bloodletting of a home-grown horror […] this is perfect midnight movie sustenance.” The Schlock Pit

” …very minor negatives to what overall is a excellently bloody cinematic experience. This is a fine slasher film that for the most part is excellently paced and will have you hooked from the very first minute to the very last.” UK Horror Scene

“Despite a slow start after the obligatory death by prologue, The Redwood Massacre manages to rack up an impressive body count. Apart from the leads, there are flashbacks to the original killings and a few unlucky passers-by to be disposed of. And the kills are all practical and very messy.” Voices from the Balcony

The Redwood Massacre looks beautiful and was filmed with a creative eye, but it is overall not that successful. The impressive kills and gorgeous dark red blood don’t make up for the fact that the characters fall flat, and that the story and the killer’s origin story is not as fleshed out…” Wicked Horror

“The human fodder is dumber than usual in putting themselves in harms way, and that’s saying a lot. There’s relatively lots of gore from the repetitive slashings by axe, saw and machete as well as very bloody beatings with bare fists. A complete waste of time for everyone involved.” The Worldwide Celluloid Massacre
