Reviews:

“The plot of Moth is quite interesting, but it’s the twist ending that adds intrigue to the story, making sense of many of the seemingly large plot holes that are actually integral to the ending. While the story is good and has its fair share of twists and turns, if there’s one major point to criticize in Moth, it’s the pacing of the film which is quite slow. Fortunately, the pace picks up towards the end…” Found Footage Critic

Moth-6

“The cinematography and choice of locations was bang on the money in my book – both helped the atmosphere evolve. I was also impressed by the ambitious plot of the movie – it’s nice to see a Found Footage effort aim at fresh ideas. Okay, the acting from certain characters dipped in some scenes (notably the scenes which move away from the Found Footage genre) but overall they were able to hold the film together.” Top Found Footage Films

“The majority of the film is shot on handheld cameras and at times the sound is muffled which some could find off putting. The two leads are easy to watch and you do feel close to them through the telling of their back-stories even if the dialogue feels stilted. I was really hoping for a good Mothman film and though this has a decent plot twist the film in the end leaves you underwhelmed.” Horror Screams Video Vault

Moth-5

“With a limited budget and cast, Gergö Elekes and József Gallai have crafted a thought-provoking and chilling film that offers more than just a few jump scares and practical effects. Moth will get audiences thinking about the ease of new technology and the lure of fame and riches, the ways in which people manipulate each other for their own selfish aims, and the fact that monsters in the human world are far more terrifying than those in urban legends.” Found Footage Fiction
