HAUNTERS: THE ART OF THE SCARE (2017) Reviews and overview

Haunters: The Art of the Scare is a 2017 American documentary film written and directed by Jon Schnitzer and produced by The Brain Factory.

The documentary features interviews with McKenzie Westmore, Jason Blum, Jessica Cameron, Slash from Guns n’ Roses, Jen Soska, Sylvia Soska and owners of haunted house and scare shows.

Official synopsis:

“A heart-warming and heart-stopping documentary about people who sacrifice everything to create the most popular and polarizing haunted houses for Halloween – from boo-scare mazes to a controversial new subculture of extreme terror experiences.”

Reviews:

“Surprisingly, you may come out with a lot of mixed emotions after seeing this as well as asking yourself where does the love of horror stop and the enjoyment of inflicting pain on others begin. Haunters probably won’t make you want to visit a haunted house this October; in fact, it might even make you a little angry.”Jon Schnitzer, Dread Central
