“Festooned with one cool factoid and tidbit after another, it’s not only neat to see what all of the principal contributors are up to these days, their methods and motivations achieved on location in the state of Maine back in 1988 offer many fascinating revelations as well. With the glaring omission of Stephen King’s participation aside, Unearthed & Untold is a solid hagiographic look back at the making of bona fide horror classic.” Jake Dee, Arrow in the Head
” …the meat of the movie is so enjoyably informative, flaws are effectively neutered. If you want to revel in as much material about making Pet Sematary as is currently documented in film format, or to catch up with cast and crew over 25 years later, you really don’t need anything that Unearthed and Untold doesn’t have.” Ian Sedensky, Culture Crypt
” …directors John Campopiano and Justin White’s revisit the material in a comprehensive manner. Though, the film has lost cast and crew members, such as Fred Gwynne, Pet Sematary and Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary will not soon be forgotten by fans of the horror genre and they should both be darkly celebrated.” Michael Allen, 28 Days Later Analysis
“Even if you aren’t a die-hard fan of the movie (I watched it so many times on cable and rented it often that I suppose I should count myself in that pool) there’s something of interest here in how these movies are made and the type of technical acumen that goes into the work.” The MN Movie Man
