‘A tree so evil, the Devil planted it himself’
Devil’s Tree: Rooted Evil is a 2018 American supernatural horror film directed by Chris Alonso and Joshua Louis; it stars Maddy Curley, Eddie Kaulukukui, Roberto Escobar and Erin Ownbey.

Reviews:
” …fails to make the best it can out of its sinister, if gimmicky premise, choosing to steal familiar elements from such classics as Blair Witch Project and The Conjuring, instead of developing its own, original story, with the biggest let down being the poor twist at the end and the even poorer acting by everyone involved in it.” CineMarvellous!

“The cinematography is crisp, and the shots are varied enough to remain engaging yet standard enough not to draw undue attention. The sound is manageable, and the special effects are mostly gore-related and decent (though they rely too heavily on repetitive throat-slitting). However, technical know-how doesn’t cover inconsistencies caused by a problematic script and directing work…” Horror Newt
