Reviews:

” …The Unborn Child is a serviceable horror film. It’s just barely decent, but entertaining, nonetheless. The story is interesting, despite being generic, there are some good jump-scares and eerie visuals […] However, there is a disappointing lack of horror in this film, and some story and storytelling elements are sloppy.” Cinematic Addiction

” …if you want to make a film about the horrors of illegal abortion performed up to when the babies are nearly nine months old, you don’t really need to wrap it up in asian horror clichés. Because it’s pretty damned disturbing in the first place. You don’t need baby ghosts or possession or cheap jump scares to make an impact.” Lho, Letterboxd

“For the most part, it holds together as solidly serious suspense but runs off the rails in the third act as it seeks to tie things up and ensure that all the characters get what’s coming to them, according to karma […] And it’s kind of ridiculous and fantastic at the same time, with one character smothering in a grave that’s full of crawling dead babies and another sent over the brink by a swimming pool full of blood.” Wise Kwai’s Thai Film Journal
