Reviews:
“The deaths of Final Destination 2 are crazier than the first. The trend of the deaths to be like big Rube Goldberg Machines works, and keeps the audience guessing how the pieces will tie together…and it usually is funny (horror and laughter once again go hand-and-hand).” Basement Rejects

“It was a lot of fun. There’s not just awesome gore, there’s also a very cool and sometimes confusing plot within the movie that unfolds and creates these incredible plot twists towards the climax of the film that will leave you gasping aloud.” Cinema Crazed

“While there’s nothing to the drama to suck you into any sense of “reality” the films might have- i.e., there’s no emotional investment involved – the list of horror films that can match the tension of the openings of these movies, wherein the humongous “accidents” occurs, is small. You know in Final Destination 2, for example, that there’s going to be a huge automobile crash… but you don’t know when…” Final Girl

“The script extrapolates intriguingly from the original as death, whose spokesman remains a sinister undertaker (Tony Todd), stalks people who are still alive thanks to a ripple effect of the first plot while Kim’s sometimes-misleading visions encourage them to take usually-ineffectual sidesteps.” The Kim Newman Web Site

“It’s far too convoluted and requires more exposition than a movie like this requires; in the time it took to explain the reasoning behind the visions […] several more people could’ve been offed. Still, there’s no denying that Final Destination 2 is one of the most purely enjoyable films out there…” Reel Views

” …while none of the actors show anything in the nature of promise, I have to admit that there might be hope for director David Ellis. Granted, there’s only so much he can do with the material, but the death scenes – and the associated “fakes” and red herrings that are intended to build suspense – are presented competently…” ReelViews

” …takes a good idea from the first film and pounds it into the ground, not to mention decapitating, electrocuting, skewering, blowing up, incinerating, drowning and gassing it. Perhaps movies are like history, and repeat themselves, first as tragedy, then as farce.” Roger Ebert

“Ali Larter’s return as an embittered hard-ass is great and A.J. Cook makes a functional heroine while the very easy-on-the-eye Landes floats around in the background like a spare part. Everyone else fulfills their obligatory pin-cushion bond, becoming targets for every possible piece of flying shrapnel….” Vegan Voorhees

“Competently made and bearable but too sloppily written and feeling too much of a rehash to be anything but disappointing.” The Video Graveyard
