‘Put him together… He’ll tear you apart!’

Jigsaw is a 2002 American horror film written, produced, edited and directed by Don Adams and Harry James Picardi (Dozers; Vengeance of the Dead). The movie stars Barret Walz, Aimee Bravo, Mia Zifkin and Arthur Simone.

Plot:

A group of art students working on their final project soon learn that putting a little of themselves into their work can be a bad thing…

Reviews:

“A couple of the kill scenes are nicely done — and more chilling than one might expect because of the creature involved — and the ending had real potential if it had actually been finished instead of just sort of stopping right when it was getting good.” The Charles Band Collection

“Things eventually pick up when Jigsaw comes to life but this is about fifty minutes into the film. So that only leaves about nineteen minutes for it to kill and build itself a proper body. There’s some mild gore and a nasty death involving a circular saw but it’s too little, too late.” Popcorn Pictures

” …the 50 minutes of build-up just didn’t prepare me for how dumb the horrific section would be. Not only does it make no sense, it’s not all that horrific. But whatever, I really enjoyed Jigsaw in spite of my problems with it…” Silver Emulsion Film Reviews

” …given that the horror segment of this horror film lasts only 24 minutes after a lot of talking and nothing is explained – it would’ve likely worked better as a segment in an anthology. Still, Jigsaw is kind of a creepy dude (echoing Morty, the wooden mannequin in The Fear to some degree) and there are a few good ideas at play here and a few interestingly drawn characters.” Vegan Voorhees

“What we have here is a very watchable time with engaging dialogue (though it goes for lots of cheesy one-liners too much at times), characters who are developed better than most of this type […] 3 AM have crafted a perfect B-movie that’s better than expected and fun despite a merely okay finale (though there’s a good last shot).” The Video Graveyard
