Reviews [click links to read more]:

“Karacadag has too little story for more than two hours of playing time. Trimmed to under 100 minutes would have been easily possible. In spite of very exciting sequences, I sometimes found it difficult to maintain concentration. Nevertheless, a look is worthwhile in any case, because the film does occasionally provide for some fear and terror.” 100 Year of Terror review [translated from German]

“The film is a little long at 2 hours 14 minutes but it gets really intense near the middle and end and is a lot of fun. Karacadag has upped the scare factor from his 2012 entry, Dabbe: Bir cin vakasi, also about vengeful genies. He knows how to use the camcorder and lighting to maximum effect…” Victory is Mine Blast review

“The story builds nicely with some effectively unsettling moments as Faruk’s efforts are repeatedly defeated by the Djinn. There’s also a very creepy night sequence in the abandoned town. And the ending is effectively batshit, complete with cards explaining what happened afterwards.” Voices from the Balcony
