Sharkenstein is a 2016 American horror film about a small ocean town plagued by a blood-thirsty creature that was built and reanimated by using the parts of the greatest sea-killers: the Sharkenstein monster.
Directed by Mark Polonia (Queen Crab; Amityville Death House; Bigfoot vs Zombies) from a screenplay by J.K. Farlew.
The movie stars Greta Volkova (Tales of Dracula; Bigfoot vs. Zombies; Brackish), Ken VanSant, Titus Himmelberger (Amityville Exorcism), James Carolus (Amityville Exorcism; Revolt of the Empire of the Apes; Jurassic Prey) and Jeff Kirkendall (Doctor Acid Face; Land Shark; Amityville Death House).
Brett Piper (Queen Crab) handled the special effects.
Plot:
In the final days of World War II, a secret experiment to weaponise sharks is shut down and destroyed by the Third Reich. Now, sixty years later, a small ocean town is plagued by a bloodthirsty, mysterious creature, one built and reanimated using parts of the greatest killers to ever inhabit the sea – the Sharkenstein monster!

“Brett Piper provides a marvelously threatening-yet-silly shark, although it’s mostly limited to snatches of computer non-animation, where it’s just moved across the screen without having to do much of anything else. “This one not only kills people in water, but because it’s a concoction of parts, it goes on land and kills people too! The extras that hunt Sharkenstein on land are terrible and all the gunshots are post-production with sound effects and muzzle flare, but again, I like that.
