SCARFACE is coming to 4K Ultra HD

Classic 1983 crime movie Scarface is being released on 4K Ultra-HD plus Blu-ray and Digital by Universal Pictures on October 15, 2019. The film has been restored in 4K with High Dynamic Range and a DTS:X master audio track.

Directed by Brian De Palma (Raising Cain; Dressed to Kill; The Fury; Carrie) from a famously expletive-written screenplay by Oliver Stone (Natural Born Killers; The Hand; Seizure), the plot was loosely based on the 1932 film and Armitage Trail’s 1930 novel of the same name. The movie stars Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Paul Shenar and Robert Loggia.

Plot:

In the spring of 1980, the port at Mariel Harbor was opened, and thousands set sail for the United States. They came in search of the American Dream.

One of them found it on the sun-washed avenues of Miami… wealth, power and passion beyond his wildest dreams. He was Tony Montana. The world will remember him by another name… Scarface.

Special features:

  • Scarface: 35th Anniversary Reunion – Tribeca Film Festival conversation with director Brian De Palma and actors Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Steven Bauer (new)
  • Scarface: The TV Version
  • The Scarface Phenomenon featurette
  • The World of Tony Montana featurette
