HELLARIOUS (2019) Reviews and overview

‘Try not to die laughing.’
Hellarious is a 2019 American comedy horror film compilation of seven shorts with subjects such as amateur Satanists, “reverse werewolves“, psychotic lunch ladies and zombie spouses.

Anthology creator and filmmaker Jason Tostevin enthused: “Hellarious is the perfect movie to celebrate the Halloween season,”  “There are scary stories, eww moments that will make you squirm, and even some weirdly sweet moments. And of course, they’re all absolutely hysterical.”

The segments included are:

‘Lunch Ladies’ by Clarissa Jacobson and J.M. Logan

‘Horrific’ by Robert Boocheck (ABCs of Death 2)

‘Death Metal’ by Chris McInroy

‘Born Again’ and ‘Til Death’ by Jason Tostevin and Randall Greenland

‘Killer Kart’ by James Feeney

‘Bitten’ by Sarah K. Reimers

Hellarious is a fangtastically fun romp through some entertainingly divergent, and off-the-wall sinister shorts…” Horror Fuel

” …this collection has something for everyone, especially those whose sense of humor run to the dark and twisty.” iHorror

Release:
Hellarious will be unleashed on VOD in November via distributor FilmSpawn whose founder Chris Ethridge commented: “We’re so proud to help present this one-of-a-kind project. These are iconic shorts people have been hearing they have to see, but couldn’t find. Now, for the first time ever, you can see them all in one place.”

Prior to the VOD release, a limited edition Blu-ray – with a bonus extra short, Clarissa Jacobson’s A Very Important Film, which parodies puffed-up festival films – can be ordered via Horror Pack
