According to Variety, production on The Batman has now resumed at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England, following the news that star Robert Pattinson has been tested positive for COVID-19. It is hoped that there will be no further delays as only shot 25% of footage has been reportedly shot.
Previously, Warner Bros. issued an official statement that reads: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.” And it turns out that the “member of The Batman production” is Robert Pattinson himself and he is in a fourteen-day incubation period!
Variety has since reported that the movie will apparently resume shooting, with production reportedly focused on non-Batman/Bruce Wayne scenes, and use a stand-in if absolutely necessary.
