Getaway is a 2020 American horror film about a young woman who is kidnapped by a backwoods cult and her revenge.
Directed by Lane Toran from a screenplay co-written with Jaclyn Betham, the movie stars Scout Taylor-Compton (The Lurker; Feral; Ghost House; Rob Zombie’s Halloween and sequel; et al), Landry Allbright, the aforementioned Lane Toran, Jamil Walker Smith, Jaclyn Betham, Ben Deschaine (Super Shark) and Chrystopher Ryan Johnson.
Plot:
Tamara Miller (Jaclyn Betham) has planned a weekend lake getaway with her two best friends. When she gets kidnapped by a backwoods cult, eerie and unexplained occurrences arise. Will she make it out alive or become the treasure of these deranged lunatics?
