A new Blumhouse version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula set in the modern-day is to be directed by Karyn Kusama (Destroyer; The InvitationJennifer’s Body) from a screenplay written by her former collaborators Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay.

Although not officially announced as being a Universal Studios project, given the massive critical and financial success of Leigh Whannel’s The Invisible Man, this seems highly likely.

Meanwhile, James Wan reportedly has a new untitled “Universal Monsters” project in development with rumours that it will be his take on Frankenstein.
