‘Her song is alluring. Her kiss is deadly.’

Reviews:

” …there’s almost no heat or chemistry between Hendryk and Finch. And a film with this kind of relationship at its centre needs a cast and director who can deliver that. We have to be sold on the attraction between them […] Despite that, there is enough interesting stuff going on to make The Mermaid’s Curse the best film I’ve seen from the director. Faint praise I know but there you have it.” Voices from the Balcony

Notes:

The original title was Witches of the Water

The film is apparently a remake of Deadly Waters (2015) which we presume was made on a lower budget.

This film should not be confused with Mermaid’s Song (2015), directed by Nicholas Humphries, which was released in the UK on DVD by High Fliers Films on 28th October 2019 as Mermaid’s Curse
