VAMPIRE DAD (2020) Preview with trailer

‘You thought your parents sucked!’

Vampire Dad is a 2020 American comedy horror film in which a family man-turned-vampire struggles with his beastly nature. Meanwhile, his devoted wife tries to keep anyone from finding out, including their teenage daughter.

Directed by Frankie Ingrassia from a screenplay co-written with Kathryn M. Moseley, the Vampire Dad Productions movie stars Grace Fulton,  Emily O’Brien, Jackson Hurst and Barak Hardley.

Review:

“Despite conscious attempts to look cheap, it’s more polished than you might expect in light of its tiny budget. Hardley is fun as Uncle Bob, the only character who really feels fresh, and he gets most of the best lines. Despite all this good work, however, the end result is rather flat and – dare one say it? – lifeless.” Eye for Film

“As it stands, Vampire Dad is a winner; it has a ton of heart, a great cast, and is a one-of-a-kind horror-comedy… plus it’s a rare (and glorious) thing when Nick At Night fodder meets our beloved horror biz!” Horror Fuel

“It’s happy to be a small film with a cast list of less than a dozen people who are looking to shine a comedic light on the world of horror and pay homage to some of the best elements of those campy Elvira late-night moments and they do it in such a way that they left me wanting more when it was over.” Nightmarish Conjurings

Vampire Dad is a 1960s set fun horror comedy that could join Parents and Serial Mom in the world of these nostalgic set horror-comedies as a triple feature. Jackson Hurst is great to watch as the titular dad, some fun comic book animation sequences, and a fun twist in the film’s final moments of its 80-minute running time.” World Film Geek
