BLACK ADAM (2021) Preview with production update

 

Black Adam is a 2021 American fantasy action feature film about the titular anti-hero and a spin-off from Shazam!

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows; Orphan; House of Wax) from a screenplay written by Adam Sztykiel (Scoob!; Rampage), based on the comic books by C.C. Beck and Otto Binder, the movie stars Dwayne Johnson and Noah Centineo, plus others to be announced. The DC Universe movie is being produced by Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia.

Production:

Producer Hiram Garcia has stated that the upcoming DC movie will begin filming this coming April in Georgia. Garcia told ComicBook.com “We’re getting started soon, you know actually, we begin filming in April, we’ll be in Georgia, home away from home.”

Background:

Black Adam: “Five thousand years ago, Kahndaq was a melting pot of cultures, wealth, power and magic. But most of us had nothing, except for the chains around our necks. Kahndaq needed a hero… instead, they got me. I did what needed to be done, and they imprisoned me for it. Now, five thousand years later, I am free. And I give you my word: no one will ever stop me again.”

Release:

Black Adam is scheduled to be released on December 22nd 2021.
