Reviews:

By Night’s End is a solid home invasion thriller that benefits from a great cast, some effective tension and a great home run when the bad guys get their comeuppance.” Blueprint: Review

By Night’s End may not be all that original despite its initial premise, but it’s fun and executed well enough to switch off your brain for 85 minutes.” BRWC

“The one major drawback of this film that often seems to overpower all its positive aspects is the inadequate lighting which doesn’t accentuate the varying psychology of the individual characters. The feminist side of this crime thriller, touched by violence and ethical conflicts, along with the strong cast compensate for most of the technical shortcomings to an extent.” Leaky Loonage

By Night’s End does well with everything at its disposal, utilising the one location to full effect and showcasing a bit of style when required. From tracking round the perimeter, peeping in the windows à la Halloween, to some slow-motion gunplay that helps orient us in the dark and gloom of the night time environment.” Screen Realm

By Night’s End is basically a no-frills thriller that relies on pure craftmanship at least as much as on originality to work – and director Walker Whited seems to be well-versed in both as he really gets the most out of a plot that’s somewhat skeletal and relies on a single premise, and puts all the shocks and suspense pieces in all the right places while keeping the film tense throughout.” Search My Trash

“The action scenes are solid for a low budget film […] This is an enjoyable low budget action/thriller that benefits from a good cast and some nice cinematography. That includes a long continuous take of Heather making her way through the house while avoiding the gang.” Voices from the Balcony
