DARK WATER (2017) Russian mystery horror


Dark Water is a 2017 Russian horror feature film about two young couples that move into a wrecked ship that washed ashore up near a village.

Directed by Roman Karimov from a screenplay co-written with Aleksandr Lungin and Sergey Osipyan, the movie stars Dmitriy Bogdan, Evgeniy Alyokhin, Irina Starshenbaum, Inna Egorova, Sergey Belyy, Gavriil Biryulin and Natalya Shaposhnikova


Maxim, his brother Petya and Maxim’s new girlfriend Pauline come to a godforsaken village, where they settle in an old abandoned ship with a very bad reputation among the locals.

One night, Pauline disappears, and the brothers rush to search for her. When she returns as unexpectedly, strange things begin to happen around her. While Maxim fears for the girl, Petya has his suspicions that it’s not Pauline at all…


ITN Studios has picked up Dark Water for distribution in North America on a date to be announced.
