THE BLACKWELL GHOST (2017) Reviews and overview

The Blackwell Ghost is a 2017 American found-footage horror film about a journalist that goes on an adventure to prove that ghosts exist.

Written, directed by and starring Turner Clay (Racoon Valley), the production also stars Sonny Burnette and Terri Czapleski.

The almost zero budget movie was presumably very successful because The Blackwell Ghost 2 (2018), The Blackwell Ghost 3 (2019), The Blackwell Ghost 4 (2020) and The Blackwell Ghost 5 (2020) have followed since.

Reviews:
“A film that will work much better on people who stumble upon it and think it is real, The Blackwell Ghost could have been something truly exceptional. It’s just a shame that Turner Clay didn’t put a bit more thought into the delivery of the material. The main premise is great, the execution is sadly lacking.” For It Is Man’s Number

“A mostly wonderful job done from all involved. The Blackwell Ghost is an old story but told well and with a few little twists to keep your mind just wondering, well, what if it is real? Well worth a watch.” Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

“I really can’t hold it against anyone for having had more than enough of the whole “found footage” sub-genre as a whole — but if you’re happy to play along with a well-established set of rules and don’t expect any sort of reinvention of the wheel or anything, then I think it’s a solid bet that you’ll have a fairly good time with this one.” Trash Film Guru
