Ryan Kjolberg … (Director of “Untethered”)
Charlotte Lilt … (Co-Director of “Night Haul”)

Jordan Pillar … (Co-Director of “Dead Ringer”)

The Falling Flame Pictures production stars Tom Sandoval, Charlotte Lilt, Michelle Palermo, Michael C. Alvarez, Ethan Drew, Jason Wiechert, Desiree Srinivas and William Kenny.

Plot:

“A chilling horror anthology comprising five short stories, penned by an unlikely group of aspiring writers, in Sugarton – a small town plagued by the apparent return of an infamous serial killer, dubbed “Cutthroat.” They’ve come to share their scary stories (with each other and the bookstore owner, Peter, who leads the group), but soon discover they’ve become the stars of a sick killer’s own twisted tale.”

Reviews:

Scare Us was a decent anthology film. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to generate enough tension throughout the film. With the exception of ‘Dead Ringer,’ the stories contained within the film ranged from merely good to downright confusing […] This movie also underutilized the character “Cutthroat.” Horror Facts

” …it’s a pity it has such a low profile because it’s a solid anthology […] The five segments range from good to excellent and cover a range of stories and styles. All except for the wraparound involve elements of the occult or supernatural and feature some excellent effects, both in terms of gore and creature work.” Voices from the Balcony

MOVIES & MANIA comment and rating:

Despite its uninspiring poster and an inexplicable lack of publicity (relying on limited “exclusive” coverage on just the Fangoria and Rue Morgue websites clearly wasn’t enough), word amongst fans is finally getting out about this movie.

Scare Us is a superior horror anthology with strong tales that are well-filmed, darkly vicious, twisted and, above all, disturbing. To say anything more spoils the reveals as they unfold. The wraparound in a musty bookstore is a great setting. Recommended.
