Plot:

Screaming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-ridden Crown Vic, wily con artist Teddy Murretto (Frank Grillo) hatches a desperate plan to hide out from lethal hitman Bob Viddick (Gerard Butler): He sucker-punches rookie officer Valerie Young (Alexis Louder) to get himself arrested and locked up in a small-town police station.

However, jail can’t protect Murretto for long. Viddick schemes his own way into detention, biding his time in a nearby cell until he can complete his mission. When the arrival of a competing assassin (Toby Huss) ignites all-out mayhem, mounting threats force Viddick to get creative if he wants to finish the job and escape the explosive situation…

Reviews:

“It would only have helped if the script had been a little less corny […] You can see from afar that there will be little left of the police station. Not a bad thing in itself, such a bad-to-worse structure can be quite effective, but it is mainly the macho irony that at some point starts to hang out. As a result, it is never really exciting, but also rarely funny.” Film Totaal [translated from Dutch]

“I found this more irritating than I probably should have, but when a movie shows so much effort at serving up machismo, tough talk and violence and so little at generating suspense, twists and logical surprises, I lose patience with it. This one just never seems to end, and when the illogical end arrives, a laughably dumb coda is layered on top of it.” Movie Nation
