Reviews:
“I got major vibes of a better David DeCoteau Full Moon production here, which is not a bad thing, so if you’re in the mood for a slasher that plays with technology and the need to be a star, this is the one for you.” B&S About Movies

“All of the members that meet their end in Death Cast do so in non-surprising fashions. And as two-dimensional characters with no effect on our empathy and little scare effect, there’s just nothing altogether satisfying about it […] the pace of the film is quite good, and I somewhat enjoyed its conclusion, but I felt it lacked key development elements that could have given it an edge in a subgenre boiling over with similar stories.” Horror Obsessive

” …the feature drops its initial premise of actors in real peril for a rapid embracing of the final girl trope, becoming a lacklustre slasher with worse camera angles. A shame, as the initial idea was full of promise.” The Reviewing Rodders

Background:
Director/writer Bobby Marinelli told iHorror: “A lot of my career as a reality television producer was based on manipulating ordinary people into extraordinary situations. I often wondered how far this could be taken and it developed into a really interesting premise for a horror film. With Death Cast I was able to blend reality docudrama tropes with those of a slasher flick, the result is familiar but unique to the genre.”
