‘The second time’s the chum’
Jurassic Shark: Aquapocalypse is a 2021 American action horror film about a prehistoric Megalodon that has returned to the surface. The huge shark terrorises a group of oil rig workers and members of a local fishing village. Also known as Jurassic Shark 2: Aquapocalypse
The movie is a belated sequel to Brett Kelly‘s Jurassic Shark (2012).
Directed and edited by Mark Polonia (Noah’s Shark; Sharkula; Virus Shark; Return to Splatter Farm; Ghost of Camp Blood; Bigfoot vs. Zombies; Feeders; et al) from a screenplay written by Aaron Drake [his only credit – a pseudonym for Mark Polonia perhaps?].
The Polonia Brothers production stars Jamie Morgan, Jeff Kirkendall, Tim Hatch, James Carolus, Kathryn Sue Young, Titus Himmelberger, Nico Bryant, James Kelly, Natalie Himmelberger, Kate Farber and Mark Polonia.
Reviews:
“The CGI in Jurassic Shark 2 is horrible, even by Mark Polonia standards. The shark looks more like something that swam out of a cheap computer game from the 1990s than anything else […] The exploding oil rig and assorted muzzle flashes are even worse. For a shark attack film, there are damn few shark attacks in Jurassic Shark 2.” Voices from the Balcony
