‘What is killing the campers at’

Ashburn Waters is a 2019 Australian horror film about a group of campers being killed off by a demonic entity.

Written, directed and edited by David Pether (short: While He Was Waiting), making his feature debut. Co-produced by Damian Chiappara, cinematographer Damian Husser and David Pether.

The Shadow Fish Pictures production stars Kyal Scott, Carly Rees, Graham K. Furness, Jade Prechelt and Maia Rose Michaels.

Plot:

When Brett (Kyal Scott) agreed to join his friends on a high school reunion camping trip, he thought the height of his worries would be dealing with his ex-girlfriend and her new flame.

However, little did he know that the campground, Ashburn Waters, had been closed due to unexplained murders and now his friends are falling victim to the campground’s curse, one by one. What is killing the campers at Ashburn Waters?

Reviews:

“This film was technically really bad. The acting was not good and the lighting was kind of weird, among other things. But I had a blast watching it. It was an easy watch and sort of original?? It wasn’t the basic slasher in the woods but rather a ghost type thing. A pleasant surprise.” Aleexandra Skyee

“Campy, low-budget Australian Campsite supernatural horror. Other than some pretty poor acting which just adds to the silliness, Ashburn Waters has a cast of characters with their own decently fleshed out personalities, albeit a bit stereotypical, and is a passable bit of fun to turn your brain off and just enjoy for a short time.” Smog Town

Release:

In the USA, Bayview Entertainment will release Ashburn Waters on DVD on October 19, 2021.
