A Day to Die is a 2022 action crime thriller film about a desperate man attempting to get $2 million in reparations in 24 hours.

Directed by Wes Miller (Hell on the Border; River Runs Red) from a screenplay co-written by Rab Berry and Scott Mallace.

The movie stars Bruce Willis (Gasoline Alley; American SiegeApexMidnight in the SwitchgrassOut of DeathHard KillCosmic SinBreachDie Hard franchise), Frank Grillo (Copshop; Cosmic Sin; Boss Level; Wheelman), Kevin Dillon, Gianni Capaldi, Leon, Johnny Messner, Vernon Davis and Brooke Butler.

Plot:
After killing a drug syndicate member while protecting a parolee, Connor Connolly (Kevin Dillon) has one day to pay two million dollars in reparations he doesn’t have to Tyrone Pettis (Leon). He is forced to ask his old military ops crew, led by Brice Mason (Frank Grillo), to come together and somehow get $2 million before Connor loses everyone he loves.

Reviews:

“Director Wes Miller never trusts his story in any way, so before we can ever get attached to one trajectory […] It’s not the first time one of these VOD efforts has turned to another actor to help Willis carry the weight these trying performances put on him. A Day to Die boasts long stretches like this, noticeable to even casual viewers.” Hollywood in Toto

“As Bruce Willis creeps towards senility, his credibility as an action star continues to decline – although not as rapidly as his judgment about which movies he’ll agree to be in. Put gently, this movie is a disaster. More accurately, it’s 105 minutes of unhinged, disjointed, poorly written, and shakily shot nonsense packed to bursting with unconvincing actors, one-dimensional characters, and rubbery effects.” Parent Previews

“The final shoot-out is nicely done and the explosions are either actual pyro or exceptionally good CGI […] Once again Willis is barely in the film and doesn’t put a lot of effort into the few scenes he has, even when he’s shooting at people he looks bored. But as a whole A Day to Die hits enough of its marks that I had a good time with it.” Voices from the Balcony
