Wyrmwood: Apocalypse is a 2022 Australian science fiction action horror film about a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic wasteland. The movie is the sequel to Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead (2014).
Directed by Kiah Roache-Turner (Nekrotronic; Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead) from a script co-written with Tristan Roache-Turner. Produced by Blake Northfield and Tristan Roache-Turner.
The Bronte Pictures/Guerilla Films co-production stars Jake Ryan (The Great Gatsby), Luke McKenzie (Perfect Sense), Bianca Bradey (The Osiris Child), Jay Gallagher (Nekrotronic), Shantae Barnes-Cowan (Operation Buffalo series), Tasia Zalar (Mystery Road) and Nicholas Boshier.
Plot:
In a zombie-infested Australian wasteland, soldier Rhys has dedicated his life to tracking and capturing survivors for the Surgeon General in hopes of finding a cure.
However, when he learns all is not as it seems, he must team up with Maxi, and siblings Brooke and Barry to race against the clock and save the one person who may be the key to ending the apocalypse…
