Skull Island is a 2023 American animated series and the latest chapter in Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse franchise.

The series was created by writer/producer Brian Duffield (director Spontaneous, and a screenwriter on Jane Got a Gun; The Babysitter; Underwater and Love and Monsters). Executive produced by Brad Graeber, Jen Chambers, Brian Duffield, Jacob Robinson, and Thomas Tull.

The Legendary Entertainment production utilises animation from Powerhouse Animation Studios and Tractor Pants.

The plot follows shipwrecked characters desperate to survive the most dangerous place on Earth, the island that is home to colossal monsters, including the iconic “megaprimatus” Kong.

The Skull Island series will be available for streaming on Netflix worldwide from June 22, 2023.
