Reviews:

“In the Restless world, you really cannot choose a good guy as every person is somehow involved in foul play, and perhaps the lack of extremely good and bad makes it a decent watch […] It is an engaging watch with nothing much to think about…” Digital Mafia Talkies

Restless tried in vain to take the original blueprint from a fantastic action thriller, pump even more action to it and call it a day, without understanding what made the original good in the first place. Restless better be avoided as there are many other good offerings out there if what you are looking for are action and thrills.” 3/10 Fiction Horizon

“It lacks a plot in the story’s very important protagonist, and it continues the storyline in the way that has been done hundreds and thousands of times from other movies. It is both easy to guess and frustrating that will the remake come to you, won’t it be anything new or different?” 2/5 Filmy Hype

“It’s entertaining, but definitely best to watch without any spoilers. Something you can’t possibly do if you’ve watched the movie that this is a remake of. However, if you’re not familiar with the story and many plot twists, this makes for an intense thriller with crazy action elements.” Heaven of Horror

“Most of the direction feels derivative and filler-like. Regis Blondeau, the director of the film, tries to borrow bits and pieces from modern classics to create an uncompelling mess. There is no clarity in what he does and how he handles the moving parts of his story. The storytelling is toothless and without purpose.” High on Films

Restless made me wonder why I am expected to feel sympathy for the bad guy. Or even follow him, for that matter. Plus, the storyline follows the most predictable route that you’ve seen a million times and leaves you feeling annoyed and dissatisfied.” Leisure Byte

“Overall, as a directorial debut, this film is a decent, easy watch. The film doesn’t offer anything new regarding the storyline — it’s all something we’ve seen before, but there is comfort in this, so if you’re looking for an okay, mindless action film Restless is the one.” Ready Steady Cut
