“There are a few films this year that have managed to impress me like this– and 8 Found Dead stands among them. Take everything that I’ve said and assume that the film is even better than that. 8 Found Dead isn’t just one of the best films that I’ve seen this year, it’s one of the best horror films that I’ve seen ever.” Bain’s Film Reviews
“The last twenty minutes are absolutely, delectably insane, but the execution is disjointed, presenting a few too many jarring tonal shifts and overlong scenes. Be that as it may, a prolonged ending doesn’t take away from the minutes that preceded it. In short, 8 Found Dead is a gripping and aberrant horror getaway.” 7 out of 10, Film Threat
“8 Found Dead is one of this year’s best thrillers. It’s an exhilarating mystery thriller horror movie that is deftly crafted, wonderfully executed, and satisfyingly gruesome. You will rethink rental properties for sure. This one is a lot of fun.” 8 out of 10, Horror Buzz

“8 Found Dead starts off seeming like it might be a horror comedy, but the film soon turns much more serious — though viewers will find plenty of dark humor throughout. The nonlinear, parallel style of unveiling its proceedings may take the mystery out of whodunit, but Greene and Buchanan make it clear from the beginning that whodunit was never the point.” Horror Fuel
“Screenwriter Jonathan Buchanan’s fractured timeline is not nearly as clever or effective as Greene hopes. Frankly, it mostly comes across as a labored attempt to build misleading suspense […] Tim Simek and Rosanne Limeres definitely chew all kinds of scenery as Richard and Liz (they say they are actors, get it?), but they come on so strong, it is hard to believe anyone would stick around to enjoy their company..” J.B.Spins
“8 Found Dead dances around some of the obvious questions that films like Barbarian and Funny Games address head on. But it also gets points for homaging the greatest lodging horror film of all time. The opening falls to purposeless ogling – Jenny Tran’s performance deserved better – which the film struggles to overcome. But impressive editing and that shifting storyline keep Found Dead from ever getting stale.” 3.5 out of 5, Maddwolf
“The physical conflict simply isn’t as interesting as the psychological one that initially hooked us, plus the non-linear timeline means we already know the fates of certain characters […] Kudos to Greene and screenwriter Jonathan Buchanan for trying something different in terms of storytelling structure, but you may be left wondering if 8 Found Dead might have been more successful working within the traditional parameters of its stagey setup.”2.5 out of 5, The Movie Waffler

“While the film tries to keep some surprises, much of the tension is undone when the bodies and method of death are revealed early on. This could have been used to the film’s advantage for an inescapable tragedy, yet it instead feels like a desperate and convoluted try to fulfil what the title promises. When stabbings are treated as minor inconveniences, this is a film which struggles to hold one’s attention.” 2 out of 5, Nerdly
“While some scenes could use a sharper edit and transitions could be smoother, the overall experience is tantalizingly gripping. Minor glitches outweigh the rush this cinematic experience delivers. 8 Found Dead dares to delve into the intricacies of human ties as the natural source of fear, pushing viewers to reconceptualize the horror genre.” 3.5 out of 5, Overly Honest Movie Reviews
“8 Found Dead became memorable due to the four stories all taking place in the same location at different times. Without this concept this wouldn’t have felt anywhere near as good. It was fun how details of the story were drip fed to the viewer, and having killers be at the forefront of the movie, rather than silent masked lurkers. I didn’t think the edited kill scenes worked too well, elsewhere the filmmaking had some fun moments…” 7 out of 10, The Rotting Zombie
