Another Cabin the Woods Movie is a 2024 meta-comedy horror film about horror-savvy characters who are forced to navigate murder and red herrings to uncover who will stop at nothing for their twisted happily ever after.
The movie was directed and co-produced by Joe Bandelli (co-producer of the Hell House LLC franchise) from a screenplay co-written with co-producers Nick Landa and Matthew Wise. It turns out the film is a re-edit (with ‘comedy’ voice-overs and unfunny fart noises) of Bandelli’s 2015 serious slasher flick Cabin Fear aka Seclusion which only garnered a mere two reviews on IMDb…
The Marylous’ Boys production stars Nicole Pacent, Clea Alsip, Duane Cooper, Matthew Wise, Alyson McKenzie Wells, Jackie Byrne and Ralph Cashen.

Plot:
Soon-to-be newlyweds, Grant (Matthew Wise) and Sarah (Clea Alsip) travel to a remote cabin in the woods. They’re joined by a small group of friends and characters, familiar with the horror genre, to celebrate a wedding weekend they’ll never forget.
However, when the groom’s lifelong best friend Dani (Nicole Pacent) arrives, the magical matrimony quickly delves into the honeymoon from Hell, when the group discovers that someone severely objects to the recent nuptials. Now the group must wonder, what’s the old groundskeeper hiding? Is the groom’s lifelong friend, really just a friend? And who hired the creepy wannabe priest? One thing is for sure, the black guy doesn’t die first!
Isolated with no way out, the group must sift through a web of murder, mystery, and red herrings, to discover which of them will stop at nothing to have their very own happily ever after…

Co-writer and director Joe Bandelli explained his approach:
“This film was written as a horror/comedy with the intention to playfully poke fun at the cabin-in-the-woods sub-genre. I was heavily inspired by Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films, and ZAZ classics like Airplane and the Naked Gun franchise, because I’ve always loved stories where the cast plays everything as straight as can be, while chaos erupts everywhere around them.
Our incredible cast and crew brought so much dedication and fun to the project, and I’m thrilled to share this story, hopefully reminding everyone that it’s okay to laugh at ourselves every now and again.”
