The Storylands Interactive production stars K.C. Clyde, Renny Grames, Rachele Brooke Smith, Corbin Allred, Austin Archer, Jasen Wade and Dalton Baker.

Plot:
Reeling from the news of an unexpected pregnancy, Jimmy (K.C. Clyde) and Everly unknowingly release an alien invasion in their small town and learn to work together to save each other, their town and evidently, the entire galaxy.

Writer-director Boston McConnaughey has commented: “No one in our industry, let alone indie filmmakers, really get to play it safe. So, why not unleash an original, kick-ass story that’ll make you strap in, fight aliens and maybe even find true love along the way? I can promise you, you’re going to laugh, and maybe even have a spectacular ride.”

Reviews:
” …there is a lot of dialogue involved in the script. Also, quite a bit of country music, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make for a very particular style and feel. As an old-school adventure that ultimately doesn’t break too many barriers, metaphysical or otherwise, Alien Country is a fun enough movie.” Flickering Myth

Alien Country offers a unique twist to the sci-fi genre by marrying it with genuine emotional depth and humor. The film is an escape from reality and an invitation to explore more profound questions of existence and human relationships. This narrative and high-stakes adventure ensure the film resonates with a diverse audience, making it a welcome addition to the indie film landscape.” ★★★ Overly Honest Reviews

” …the biggest influence here is Ron Underwood’s Tremors (1990), as Alien Country too assembles a small-town community of eccentrics to work together against a monstrous threat in the rocky desert, and lets them deploy breezy character comedy as their greatest human weapon. This is a sweet-natured romp, with its sci-fi special effects always grounded by good humour, and with Jimmy and Everly’s team-up as much marital maturing as alien face-off.” Projected Figures

“While not everything in the film works, and some of the jokes try too hard to be edgy, “Right now I trust the government more than I trust you”, most of it scary and funny hits the mark. The cast throw themselves into their roles and invest them with enough alien fighting energy to get Alien Country through it’s sillier moments. They also can play it straight in its more emotional moments without becoming overly sentimental or sappy.” ★★★½ Voices from the Balcony

“KC Clyde and Renny Grames as the bumbling Jimmy and Everly have good on-screen chemistry and their back-and-forth squabbling was amusing, but also made me care about whether or not they would end up together. The alien creatures weren’t seen in much detail. In most scenes, they were just zipping by so fast that you barely get a look at them probably due to a low budget for special effects.” 6/10 Well Worth a Read
