‘If it spreads, you’re dead’
Cold Storage is a 2025 sci-fi comedy horror film about a mutating, highly contagious fungus that escapes a sealed facility. Two young employees – joined by a grizzled bioterror operative – must survive the wildest night shift ever to save humanity from extinction.
Directed by Jonny Campbell from a screenplay by David Koepp, based on his 2019 novel of the same title. The StudioCanal-HunkyDory Films-Pariah Films co-production stars Liam Neeson, Georgina Campbell, Joe Keery, Sosie Bacon, Vanessa Redgrave and Lesley Manville.

Plot:
The story unfolds in a self-storage facility set atop the remains of a decommissioned U.S. military base. Below the facility lies a sealed sublevel containing a long-dormant parasitic organism.

As underground temperatures rise, this highly contagious, rapidly mutating fungal microorganism escapes containment. What begins as a bizarre mishap escalates into a grotesque outbreak: the fungus takes over victims’ minds, triggering horrific body mutations, zombification, and explosive head-bursts—often accompanied by neon-green gore…
