Ritual of Evil is a 1970 horror film about a psychiatrist who investigates the death of one of his patients, a young heiress.

The made-for-television production was directed by British-born director Robert Day (The Initiation of Sarah; She [1965]; First Man Into Space; Corridors of Blood; The Haunted Strangler) from a teleplay by Robert Presnell Jr. It was a sequel to Fear No Evil (1969).

The Universal Television production stars Louis Jourdan (The Return of Swamp Thing; Octopussy; Swamp Thing; Count Dracula [BBC TV version; Fear No Evil), Anne Baxter, Diana Hyland, John McMartin, Wilfrid Hyde-White (The Cat and the Canary; Chamber of Horrors; Ten Little Indians) and Belinda Montgomery (The Devil’s Daughter).

Plot:
Psychiatrist Doctor David Sorrell (Louis Jourdan) treats young heiress Loey Wiley (Anne Baxter), whose parents have died under mysterious circumstances.

Sorrell’s investigation uncovers a cult, led by a powerful witch, Leila Barton (Diana Hyland). Things grow complicated as Sorrell and the witch fall in love…
