He soon discovers that the community gathers every week around Matteo, a withdrawn fifteen-year-old whose embraces seemingly remove pain and sorrow. Revered as the Angel of Remis, Matteo has become central to the villagers’ lives, but their dependence on his extraordinary gift conceals a troubling relationship.

As Sergio grows closer to the boy, he begins questioning the rituals surrounding him. His determination to free Matteo threatens the village’s carefully maintained happiness and provokes a dangerous backlash.
