Reviews:
Malicious is a film that plays by the book and ticks all genre clichés. The crazy woman, the worried husband, the mysterious professor and the very cheap country house: check, check and double check! You know exactly what you get. The acting compensates a bit […] Unfortunately that is not enough.” Cinemagazine [translated from Dutch]

” …B-grade horror film is occasionally watchable and even slightly creepy at times, even if the ghastly imagery it offer range from properly sinister to downright cheesy, but “Malicious” is way too slow and unfocused to be intriguing enough, not to mention the scares are mostly ‘boo” CineMarvellous!

“It has some good camerawork and sound, fair twists, and fine pacing. While also having a derivative story, stiff lines and some dry performances. The scares are not exactly original, nor terrifying, though they are not badly done either. Someone new to Horror could use it as a good place to dip their toe in the genre.” Cryptic Rock

“There just isn’t anything here that is original, very scary, or hasn’t been done a dozen times before and better. There are a few jump scares, but this movie is both tame and lame. Overall, it’s just dull.” Hampersnow

” …I found Malicious to be a very pleasant surprise. It does use a bit more CGI than I’d like. Mostly because it isn’t done very well – even if it is quite efficient at times! If you like the classic horror stories involving demons and pregnancy, then you should certainly check out Malicious on Netflix.” Heaven of Horror
