‘Haunted houses for sale’
Buyer Beware – original title: Ji wu – is a 2018 Hong Kong-Malaysian supernatural horror feature film written and directed by Malaysian-born Jeffrey Chiang (Dilarang masuk). The movie stars Carlos Chan Ka-lok, Cheung Kwok-keung, Mimi Kung Chi-yan and Carlos Chan Ka-lok.
Plot:
Young and financially struggling Charlie (Carlos Chan Ka-lok), is forlorn after his break-up with his materialistic girlfriend Shermaine (Carmen Tong Ka-man ) and is also burdened with paying hefty hospital bills for his father, who is in a coma.
Charlie joins a rising property agency headed by wealthy middle-aged couple Gordon (Cheung Kwok-keung) and Lucy (Mimi Kung Chi-yan), however they specialise in buying up dirt cheap properties after someone has died or been murdered in them. He soon finds himself burying his conscience in front of oblivious clients as he sells them blatantly haunted properties…
