‘Only two jerks can save the world from the apocalypse’

Voodoo Apocalypse is a 2020 Spanish action comedy-horror feature film about two detectives, Black Magic, zombies and Mexican wrestling. The original title is Apocalipsis Voodoo

Directed by Vasni J. Ramos from a screenplay co-written with José J. Ramallo and Sergio G. Ramos, the movie stars also stars Ramallo and Ramos alongside Jorge Galván and Victor Hubara.

Plot:

After disappearing for five years, detective Charlie Vargas (José J. Ramallo) returns to Los Angeles to avenge the death of his former partner. Along with White Chocolate (Sergio G. Ramos), a young detective with a chip on his shoulder, the two enter a world of Black Magic, zombies and Mexican wrestling, in search of the infamous drug trafficker and murderer, Jimmy Vanilla (Victor Hubara).

Voodoo Apocalypse has plenty of funny moments and memorable characters but the grindhouse gimmick and lack of a story really made it one that was hard to finish. With that being said, the first 45 or 50 minutes is like f*cking dynamite. It deserves at least one viewing but don’t expect one with replay value.” Horror Society
