‘Once you start, you can never stop’

Shall We Play? is a 2020 Canadian horror feature film about a troubled teenage girl who downloads a new app in an attempt to heal her past. Unknowingly, the app possesses her…

Directed by Ann Forry – making her feature debut – from a screenplay co-written with Emma Raine Walker, the Enough Said Productions movie stars Matreya Scarrwener, Jessica McLeod, Michelle Creber, Philip Granger, Dolores Drake and Blake Williams.

” …the film has a number of logic problems, the most egregious of which being Stacy constantly wondering why her “friend” Jess isn’t at her (Stacy’s) side. That’s despite the fact that Jess consistently proves that she’s a horrible, mean-spirited person. Shall We Play? does have a couple of creepy moments and strong performances, but overall it’s a hodgepodge of other, better films that never finds its own identity.” In the Seats

“Films about technology and horror are nothing new. We’ve had the likes of Evilspeak, feardotcom, Cam, Apparition, Dreadout and now Shall We Play? Unfortunately, director Ann Forry and co-writer Emma Raine Walker don’t really do anything with the concept. The app itself is simply used as a portable ouija board, the fact it is an app is irrelevant […] This would have been disappointing but still tolerable if the rest of the film had compensated for it.” Voices from the Balcony

Shall We Play? premiered at the virtual Blood in the Snow (BITS) festival on October 29th 2020.  IndieCan Entertainment will distribute in 2021.
