Mortal Ouija is a 2019 horror film about a young mother that leases a cheap rundown apartment near her daughter’s school.
Unfortunately, the apartment contains an old Ouija board with its accompanying bowl and a curse that seemingly must be passed on in seven days.
Directed by Tao Lian, the Chinese production stars Van Fan, Yi Huang and Yunzhen Zeng.

Mortal Ouija was apparently filmed in 2015 and completed in 2016 but its release was held up by reactionary oppressive Chinese censors. When it was finally shown in 2019the film became one of the biggest horror hits in China.
