Thirteen Lives is a 2022 American true-life drama thriller film about a mission to save boys trapped in flooding underground caves. The movie chronicles the events of the 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue that saw a junior football team and their coach trapped in a cave in Thailand for a period of eighteen days.
Directed by Ron Howard from a screenplay written by William Nicholson, based on a story co-devised with Don MacPherson.
The movie stars Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton, Tom Bateman and Josh Helman.

Thirteen Lives will have a limited theatrical release in the United States by United Artists Releasing and stream on Amazon Prime Video in August 2022.
Trailer:
The film was originally scheduled for a fully theatrical release by United Artists Releasing on April 15, 2022, and was then postponed to November 18, 2022, in response to the best audience test scores in MGM’s history. In May 2022, however, the film was brought to its current release date due to Amazon’s acquisition of MGM.
Production:
Filming began on March 29, 2021, in Australia, plus some scenes were shot in Thailand itself.
