The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine is a 2023 American horror film about a young man trying to release a curse.
Directed by Paul Collett and Tammy Massa from a screenplay written by Paul Collett and Robbie Trujillo.
The movie stars Tom Sizemore, Tom Lister Jr, Sally Kirkland, Rudy Youngblood, Paul Collett, May Myat Noe, Tori Lane Ross, Dave Fennoy and Caroline Dingwall.
Plot:
Inside a long-abandoned gold mine lurks the Shakani, a supernatural being conjured by the Shanowah tribe ages ago to defeat their enemies. Not only ferocious and fast, but can appear as anyone and get inside your mind. Luke’s (Paul Collett) ancestors trapped it in the mine but each has also gone crazy.
Now Luke’s niece Poni (May Myat Noe), has come down with “the family curse.” But Luke believes with the proper medical treatment she can be healed if only he can get the money to pay for it. So with a couple of friends, he tries his luck at the gold mine but gradually realises he must defeat the Shakani and end the family curse…

When it comes to the haunting events, we get to dive into visions of the mind to keep us guessing the truth. “At an hour and forty-seven minutes, The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine runs a bit long and is fairly hit-and-miss. The plot never really gels and at times feels like two separate stories that weren’t fully integrated as it goes from a curse involving a skinwalker to scenes with multiple ghostly miners.
