
1978 is a 2024 supernatural horror film about a group of sadistic operatives who become victims themselves when they mistakenly kidnap members of a macabre cult.
The movie was directed by Luciano Onetti and co-producer Nicolás Onetti (What the Waters Left Behind; Abrakadabra). It was also produced by Michael Kraetzer, Sayif Aram and Carlos Goitia.

Plot:
During the World Cup final between Argentina and Holland, in times of military dictatorship, a group of sadistic covert operatives violently break into a home and kidnap a group of young people to take them to a clandestine detention centre.

What begins with incredibly painful and inhumane interrogations turns into martyrdom: the wrong group of people have been kidnapped. They turn out to be part of a macabre secret cult guided by an unknown supernatural force. Henceforth, the clandestine detention center will become hell itself…
