The Night Stalker is a 1986 American crime-horror thriller directed by Max Kleven. The film combines a police procedural with slasher and occult-horror elements. It stars Charles Napier as hard-drinking homicide detective Sgt. J.J. Striker and Robert Z’Dar as the killer.

The story follows veteran cop Sgt. J.J. Striker, a Los Angeles homicide detective, who is investigating a series of murders targeting prostitutes. As the body count rises, evidence suggests the killer may be using ritualistic or occult symbolism, adding a supernatural flavour to what initially appears to be a conventional serial-killer case…
