Plot [contains spoilers]:
A young woman, Dara (Alika Jantinia), returns to her hometown in rural Java after spending several years away.

Her homecoming, however, is anything but welcoming. Strange occurrences begin disturbing the village, and Dara gradually discovers that the seemingly ordinary community conceals a disturbing history involving ancient traditions, mysterious rituals and dark family secrets.

Her investigations lead her towards her mother, Mbok Darmi (Karina Suwandi), whose past appears to be closely connected to the village’s disturbing customs. She also becomes increasingly entangled with the Santoso family, headed by Santoso (Indra Birowo).

As Dara uncovers more information, she begins to realise that the village’s traditional celebrations may conceal something far more sinister.

What should be occasions of happiness and communal celebration are instead associated with mysterious rituals, supernatural threats and potentially deadly consequences.

With the help of her childhood friend Gaung (Ari Irham), Dara attempts to understand the truth behind the village’s disturbing history and the forces threatening its inhabitants…

The mystery gradually reveals connections between past generations, family relationships and a terrifying tradition that appears to demand a human sacrifice.
