Scary Movie 5 is a 2013 American horror comedy film and the fifth film in the Scary Movie franchise. In addition to being a sequel, it serves as a reboot of the series.

The film was directed by Malcolm D. Lee and co-written by David Zucker (Airplane, The Naked Gun). The horror films parodied include Black Swan, Mama, Sinister, Evil Dead, Inception and Paranormal Activity. 

Plot:

Snooty ballet company director Pierre (J.P. Manoux) is putting on a new production. Jody (Ashley Tisdale) and her friend Kendra (Erica Ash) are both trying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother Barbara (Heather Locklear) is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her.

The highly skilled Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather, (Molly Shannon) gets cut from the production and goes berserk. Meanwhile, odd things are happening in the house that Jody and her husband Dan (Simon Rex) just moved into.

Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen appear as themselves and the cast also includes Snoop Dogg, Katt Williams, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Jerry O’Connell, Sarah Hyland, Katrina Bowden Tyler Posey, Shad Moss aka Bow Wow, Kate Walsh, Mac Miller and Mike Tyson.
